I just wonder how you do it. This is very beautiful. Your technique is very excellent. Very detailed and lots of depths. It must take you a long time to make art like this

free as the wind, if it has no areas that need to be improved, why is it not perfect? thanks for the time and the review, Cheers

I just think it is not sharp enough or does not stand out for me, that is not to say many, many others would not like it hanging on there wall.
FATW,
Thanks for the clarification. Not sharp enough meaning; between the birds and the background, or not enough contrast in the background, or defintion of or within the birds? have great day... cheers

Im rating this 5 because:
I like the composition here, I think you have got the framing just right on this...there is not too much negitive space and there is nothing in the background to detract from the main subjects.
The pointilism technique gives a real sense of texture to the work and the differing shades of grey give an authentic sense of depth.
I like that the mother penguin is leaning slightly over...almost protectively, and yet her stare meets the gaze of the viewer. It makes a strong pose.
I think the contrasts between dark and light shade have been very well acheived, which can be hard when you are using varing shades of one colour.
A good work, skillfilly done.

This one is adorable. I love the baby peeking his little head out from under mommy. I think you even have an adorable expression on his face.
Beautiful work like always Lucien! Thanks for letting me know.

Excellent penguin, Lucien! The fine detail you've offered is a treat for the eyes - reminds me a lot of that March of the Penguins movie. Excellent job, my friend!

Okay, I'm going to step out on a limb here and ask a dumb question. Is the baby wearing a parka like the Eskimos wear? This piece is adorable and I wish it was a little larger so I could take in all the details. You do beautiful work.
