This is a terrific entry for this contest! I love the look, to me it's a look of being fresh as in refreshing and simple;) This is gorgeous and looks like it's been well taking care of! I was reading your notes, and have to ask what tone mapping is. I have not heard of this before. This is just a excellent picture and wonderful contest entry. Amazing details, color, and sharp focus. I really like the texture. Well done and best of luck.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Danrae. Tone mapping is something I do in Photomatix Pro, and is a sort HDR treatment of a photo. If you three images and merge then with this program, you get a HDR image. You do however also get very much the same result using only one photo, like I have done here.

The cerulean blue of the vaults is really ideal, and most lovely. The light coming from the left is bright and clear leaving an extended sheen in the bottom third of photo. Itīs an interesting location and artist notes were most informative. Beautiful photo!

What a nice sharp clean image with good DOF keeping all in focus and good detail. The blue of the arched ceiling really brings this alive. The lighting is just right across the complete image.
