This is indeed a colorful scene Willie, but because of the perspective it is of course very difficult to get all the buildings lined up against the frame. Since the building in the foreground isn't I find this a bit distracting and I find myself looking at it all the time. It is possible to change the perspective in PS though.

Your photo is nice and sharp showing a lot of clear details, and the colors are crisp and clear. Also the perspective is fine.

Personally I would have toned down the tone mapping a bit, but appreciate that this is a matter of taste. I also wonder what it is I am seeing in the very background at the end of the street. Almost looks like smoke, and also this is another distraction. To be quite honest, I think you need to work a bit more with this fantastic photo, but of course I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you so very much! I was hanging over the edge of a roof trying to shoot down the street. I will see what I can do with the building. The background is smoke as this is what it is all about. Open fires to cook bar-b-q.

I see Willie. It makes sense that it is smoke I am seeing, but I wasn't sure.

Hi Willie - I have not talked to you in a while. How is the greeting cards / post cards going?

Here is another wonderful example of what topaz can offer. Wow you have some intense texture going on in this image. Nice color, as well as various compositional elements makes this a fun image to look at. Kathy

Oh, save me a seat and bring me a plate of good eats. I love the brightness of this. It just pops out at me. Love old buildings with tons of red brick. These type of events are a blast. We have a lot of them here in the summer. Next month, I go to a garlic festival that is to die for. Ok maybe not die but they are fun. Beautiful work and good luck in the contest and thanks for sharing.

When I first looked at this work, I thought "too busy!" Then when I read that it was a festival... I thought: Perfect!

...the beautiful building arches, etc nicely frame the festival!

It's a cacophony of activity and color!! (I like the tone mapping that you've done too!)

Nice work!
