I think this is a very good entry for the contest Willie, and this sky is just spectacular with all the vibrant colors and the golden glow. I also think it is lovely the way all these colors are reflected in the shiny water.
The silhouette like landscape is standing out against the sky sharp and well defined, and it is indeed a lovely light in the sky.
I think the photo has got a good framing and I also think your POV was perfect. It is a well balanced composition and of course a really well taken photo. I wish you luck with the contest.

Initial Impression:
Great capture of a dynamic sky that is beautifully ablaze.
Feelings Evoked:
This image stirs feelings of conflict for me. The reds and the overall darkness on the left cause feelings of concern (impeding weather) the yellows and brightness on the right stirs relief and hope breaking through.
Technical Elements:
The white balance is spot on and delivers intense, vivid color both in the sky and the reflecting water. Focus and DOF work together to afford nice sharp lines in the clouds as well as the silhouette horizon.
Artistic Elements:
The image is framed using the rule of thirds to optimize and bring most attention to the main subject here (the sky). The POV allowed for optimal color and brings a dynamic contrast to the image (including some yellow against that fiery red presentation). Further - I like the way the bottom left hand corner is reserved for that powerful reflection that adds yet another layer of interest to the shot.
Summary:
A strong contender for the contest. You have skillfully captured the beauty of Gods artistic touch. Nice. Kathy

Wow, this is really beautiful. I love all the different shades of orange and grays. The clouds add great texture to this and you high lighted them prefectly. Love the reflections off the water. Is that a crain off to the right side. It kinda draws my eyes away from all the beauty. Nice work my friend and thanks for sharing.
