This is very beautiful. As a former Catholic, I am well aware of the advent wreath. This is a beautiful way to celebrate as well. The colors work so well together. I like what you have done to make this a very special picture. It is gorgeous.

A beautiful way to wait indeed. I love those colors They are so unusual for advent but seem just right. I think the unusual is what triggers or interest and emotion. Your comments are as much appreciated as your creation. I am familiar with advent. Some tradition seem similar. We had the calendar in Germany and a wheel with 4 candles on the table or hanging on the lamp.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Cleo. Perhaps purple is unusual for you but here in Norway people always decorate their homes wit this color at Advent. Thanks a lot for the good luck wishes as well.

I love everything about this image.
-perfect composition
-perfect blending of colors
-The background tan radiance complements the candle holder and pointsettia
-The background purple radiance complements the wine and flower
-The repeating crisscross pattern on the candle holder works well to the contrast of the smooth wine glass

The veins in the petals and a nice natural pattern to the image
One very minor thing I might do if this were my image - the candle holder seems to have an unnatural vertical line/seem down the middle. I think I would clone that out, especially if this were to become an enlarged print. Very minor but had to offer something. ;)

What a nice narrative and beautiful still life scene. Love it. I wish the world was not so commercialized over Christmas. So many have do not understand or seem to realize the true meaning of Christmas. When I see Christmas items and advertising going on even before Halloween, it really bothers me. Good work for a special submission.

Wow, this is a very nice and professional picture. I like the combination of the different lilac to purple color hues. The creamy flowers and vase is a nice accent to complete the fine feel of the photograph.
