A nicely done mixed media. The finish product is outstanding. It is crisp, almost crystal clear, clean and well put together. What an interesting presentation! The artist has apt urged the essence of the photograph in his painting. A good choice to blur the background and minimize the grass. The light source is well defined by the shadows surrounding and on the petals. Great

I know you are new on this site, so I will take the opportunity to say welcome. I hope you will enjoy your membership. Then I Have to tell you that this is not a painting, but a photograph. It is for a contest called Before and After. Another thing is that when you give an image 3,5 stars it means that it has major flaws. Your review does not indicate this at all. When you give out a low rating, you are meant to tell what is wrong, and also what you think could be done to improve the photo.

Since you are new I think you should red about how to review and rate. You will find this under Info and then chose FAQ (Frequently asked Questions).

Thanks for info on reviews. However, it seems to me the a 3.5 rating would identify the work a just a bit above average. If I were to rate everything I like with 5 stars or better, then the ratings will have upward creep and not be meaningful. While a reviewer can appreciate a work, he should also assign a rating which compares it to other works on this site. Otherwise it seems to me that the ratings lack authenticity.

I am not going to argue about your rating, but you need to tell why you came to the conclusion. Like what is wrong, and what, in your opinion, could be done to improve it. Most members accept the rating they are getting, but not without an explanation.

I reviewed your work thinking that the larger upper left image was a painting. I rated it on that basis. I'm not much for photography so I am not qualified to make either positive or negative remarks. Had I realized it was a photo I would have skipped the review. Mea Culpa!
