This is a nice change from the everyday usual art. It seems to read like a book telling the story exactly how it was meant to. The message some simply through. I love the particular background that you chose to display the "characters" in this. They are just right in the coloring and expressions in their faces. The only thing that detracts me is the red whatever in the bottom right corner. I am pretty sure you put it there for a reason, somewhere to put the petals but my eyes keep being drawn to it because of the bright color. Perhaps that may be what you were trying to do.
