Lovely photo of the butterfly. The contest is about green and I am hoping they do not disqualify the photo. The chartreuse color on the wings is in fact green. Good capture, thanks for the information. I appreciate knowing about the subject. Good luck

there are different shades of green, but it is definitely green, not red, yellow or blue

A stunning picture of the scarce Bamboo Page Butterfly flying above you so e see the details of the wings underside with the green patterns on the black & the brown streaks created by the veins in the wings & its abdomen, thorax, head, eye & antennae. A very nice shot with fine details and beautiful colors. You did a good job of keeping the film plane parallel to the plane of the wings giving you great detail from wing tip to wing tip. Best of luck in the contest.

What a show off, posing for you with such aplomb!

Good catch for seeing this and reacting quickly, good reflexes. The image is sharp with grood strong bokeh (dof considered) bringing attention to the butterfly. They are huge with a wingspan of over 4 inches and must look like flying flowers.

If you have PS I would suggest you clone out that brown straight line in the upper R of the photo and that would give you a cleaner photograph.
