Everybody has gone model release paranoid nowadays but unless you intend to make money from the image I don't believe you need one. Thanks for your great review once again. I sure like your posts a lot. I spend time studying them, not just glancing. Like Ansel Adams says, good photos are made not take.

I agree, the model release has caused some confusion. A child taken for commercial use needs a model release by law. For non-commercial use one is not needed by law. I think that is where ethics may enter. With Instigram and a whole host of other social media, kids have lost their privacy for a host of users and a host of motivations. I just made a decision to just not shoot kids from a recognizable pov. Just less potential hassle down the road. But of course what works for me may not for others.

Thanks. I think that all photographs are worth studying to some extent. Even the bad photos can often teach us something. Hang on ... is that why you're studying mine !!!

Just want to give you a 6 for this artistic rendition. A captivating photo gorgeous in high key and we feel like we are riding along with the kids, going along with them for a spin.

As I understand, from my Photo Club and professional photographers that a model release is only required if you intend to make money off the photo, otherwise, this was taken in a public place and no model release is required.

I think you did a great job isolating the children on the swings resulting in a plain white background. The softness of the figures also is very effective in making this image work.

This is absolutely wonderful and brings back memories of my own fair experiences growing up. I love the clean artistic like presentation. Almost looks like a painting.
