This is just another truly wonderful work you have done here of this mare. Her head is just perfect and wonderful expression in her eyes. Her body is just a little heavy for an Arab mare but it is beautiful in it's movement.

This is a stunning portrait of this beautiful, intelligent animal. I like the minimal use of pointillism and the simplicity of this drawing. Excellent work!

Isn't it wonderful what you can create with simple dots (not so simple when you are placing them I'm sure). This is really excellent work, and I'm all out of 6*. The only thing I can feel I can criticise is the eye seems a little small, only a little. Its a very well done eye dont get me wrong, I just feel it needs to be a little larger. Horses are very difficult subject I know, I've tried and failed miserably, but I love this beasts, I ride and the last horse I was on was Sultan, and Arab I rode in Egypt, what beautiful creatures! Thanks for sharing this, its really beautifully executed.

You really blow me away with these images and the time it must take to do this. I am always surprise to see the detail you achieve with little dots. Just great work.

Lucien, you have done it again. This drawing is very good, and nicely presented. The light and the shades is working well. The way you added the horse at the bottom is very effective. Very well done.

    barka,
yes I thought so too, a close up and then the complete animal, hopefully in a known stance or action pose.

Yes! I really liked this - I think a great improvement on your last one that I reviewed. I am glad you are going for the "less is more" idea because it is definitely working - the fact that you have put more dots in the nostril area is clever too as that brings attention to the horse's nose - one of its most sensitive areas. The eyes are well-expressed too - a great study.

Great work combining and creating the piece. Especially good considering the manner in which you work the ink. Pen and ink is so unforgiving. It's one of Cricket's favorite mediums as well. Good work!
