Congratulations on winning Digital Painting of the Month a very difficult feat to be sure. Cleo I Love it; Your image is so beautiful and has fantastic movement. Blossom glides across the water in the wind like a sail boat with petals in beautiful sails of color. Take it to the bank my friend. You took my last 6 on a image that didn't know was you. was the subject clean? yes i love the lotus flower because of the meaning: In Buddhist symbolism the lotus is symbolic of purity of the body, speech, and mind as while rooted in the mud, its flowers blossom on long stalks as if floating above the muddy waters of attachment and desire. It is also symbolic of detachment as drops of water easily slide off its petals. i have lotus on my leg.

Lovely colors and reflections! And I also like the simplicity in this painting! The lines in the water creates a sense of movement which adds to the image. Well done!

Very reminiscent of our water lilies in Florida, rising from such 'yucky' water! This has all the appearance of am oil painting , how the colors rather bleed into one another gathering the entire work together! Simple compositionally with a stunning palette and excellent off center placement of the subject! Jean

This was a challenge for me, especially the reflection. Almost calm water seems harder to accomplish than a moving river or waves at the ocean.
