I love the deep red colors of this photograph and the contrast from the lit candle. The composition is great, but one thing I would adjust would be the lighting- the glass in the foreground should be more noticeable and should have more details such as reflections and highlights from the candlelight. Overall, this photograph has a strong sense of unity and I look forward to seeing your next pieces!

I love the deep red colors of this photograph and the contrast from the lit candle. The composition is great, but one thing I would adjust would be the lighting- the glass in the foreground should be more noticeable and should have more details such as reflections and highlights from the candlelight. Overall, this photograph has a strong sense of unity and I look forward to seeing your next pieces!

Well thought out photo concept. Took a half a star deduction because I felt the red was just a little too dark in its shade. Needed more contrast. The candle is perfect and adds so much to the mood. Great work.

Great entry. I read recently that one glass of red wine a night is like working out for an hour in the gym. It was in the Parade magazine. I've decided to try that. I like your composition. The placement of the items shows them off at their best. Oddly, the red background doesn't seem to clash with the rest of the picture. Nicely done.

Nicely done this is! Chosing a red background was very fitting for this shot, it gives it a lush, rich look. It also fits well for a lot of wines are red. The composition is nicely done as well. I like the special touch of the candle. This is a suitable entry to the contest, good luck!!!

This is quite a well thought still for the red contest. I'm all in for the red wine but now I have that song in my head. Thank you for that!!! LOL The camera techs and the post work here are both outstanding. The post creative and artistic. I do have just one small issue with the post. It is the label on the wine bottle, the small purple grapes surrounded in white feel out of place to me... distracting from the wonderful mood of the composition as a whole. JMO, Artistic License here. Grand entry for the contest, I wish your good luck and thanks for sharing.

Thank you very much for your wonderful review. I see your point about the bottle. I will take your suggestion and remove it since it will be here for review for another day. LOL This is my favorite wine although I don't drink it often. It tasted very good after the shoot :)
