"I thought I saw a Mammoth, I did, I did"! You should of taken a selfie Chuck, for posterity. Did you need fifty quarters to make a call? In Great Neck no less... I used to live in Northport, N.Y...A nice capture, and it looks like it's in pretty good shape...Thanks for the sub...Steve H.

These are rarely seen anymore thanks to the advancement of cellular devices. Consequently, I like it, as it takes me down memory lane. I like the tight elongated frame with supports the phone booth very well. What is the bright flare on the left hand side - I don't mind it, I'm just curious if it is sun glare, a hot spot, etc. It actually adds interest. While your perspective was limited - I think you did a bang up job capturing this relic. Kathy

It was sun glare that I cloned off the frame, but left on the glass. Thanks for the great review.

Cool! In this part of the world they exist in good number. They are called PCOs.(Public Call Offices) The problem is in most of them the telephones will be missing.:):) Also the copper wire.:) You have shot this one well.Great clarity! The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Thanks for sharing!

I didn't know they still existed either - was kind of a shock when I saw it. Thanks for the review. Gonna have to go back and see if it still works.

With the invasion of the android phones, it would be nice to know if there are still persons using this booth!
Nice capture of the former "everyday thing" but now seldom visited...
Thanks so much!

You know, Chuck, I have no idea when the last time I saw one of these was. We didn't have a phone in our home when I was growing up until my senior year in high school. So, if I wanted to call my girlfriend, I had to walk two blocks to a boot just like this. Only, it was a dime to activate it...lol.
Excellent. Love the story and the memories. Thank you for taking me back to a simpler time in my life.

I agree, I have not seen one of these in years! Your shot made me smile, and I think it deserves a five because not only is it sharp and clear, it has some pretty cool lines both in it and directly behind the booth. Also, a nice bit of shadow, should be a study!
