Congrats Cara! I voted for this one! I love the message behind your creativity here. Superb use of selective color with the primary colors of the red/black white in the signs.
The vanishing perspective leading us down the long and winding road is superb.
The wee boy in the foreground adds life and tells a story.
Excellent work.

Love the idea and the execution, to me this is a good representation of today's world that seems to be getting darker and growing uncertainty, the tones and colors suit this, good job.

Thank you so very much for the lovely review Katya, and of course also for the very generous rating.

Beautiful and inspiring! The movement and optimism in this piece are strong, yet juxtaposed by the somewhat haphazardous road signs (particular the 20 and ? Signs). Nice work!

This is quite clever indeed Utilizing a European sign....a German speed limit sign for your signs because they are round with a white interior and outer edge of red and they have a number inside just like yours does Yours indicates age and in Germany of course indicates speed so at what rate of speed will the child reach a certain age and what will that certain age hold for that child ? I realize we age every year but some of us need to grow up much quicker and some of us never get to enjoy being young. I really like the entire setup you have ... the curvy road because nothing will be straight forward in life. Then of course an incline because there will be hard times as well ...we all must face mountains and hillsides. I really really like this it is very powerful. Very deep once you start to ponder. It tells a multitude of stories. You did an excellent job Thank you so much for sharing

Very nice but 1 question.. Where is the yellow and blue that was required? Oh well I'm not on the committee and not my problem.. Wink. The body form and language is excellent
The depth is great. The shading is great. The detail is great. The creation is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. Creative and great job overall

Very original and thought provoking work. The composition is excellent with the signs well placed . The wee chap has a nice cheeky swagger. I like the contours of the land, which with the signs gives excellent depth. Excellent contest entry - good luck - Deserves more than 5 stars but sadly that's the best I can do - Ronnie

By the numbered signs it looks as if he's walking in Europe. Trying to figure out how fast he should take life. Good black and white image. Maybe a bit more light. Good work on the child image. Keep going.

I really like this image, it tells a story about life and how we do not know where we are going and how we will end up, the black and white with the red standing out adds impact to the scene, I like the depth of field created by the winding road, innovative creation, thought provoking image, good luck in the contest.
