A great portrait of this duck!
It's has good feather detail, and colour.
The brown eye is pin sharp, with a nice catch light in it.
The water droplets have been well caught, adding further interest to the image
The dark water helps to give the image depth, and to make the duck stand out

Mary,
A beautiful profile Portrait of this Black Pacific Duck water droplets like liquid diamonds glistening in the light as they cling to the ducks head & black bill. Beautiful composition lit by a sunbeam. Taken with superb camera techniques with sharp focus.

A very nice close up. The detail in the eye is commendable especially since it is surrounded by the dark patch on his face. Beautiful colors and excellent cropping.

Looks like this shot was taken under some testing conditions. Quit a lot of darkness and only a little bright light. Nevertheless you have used a good exposure and present the viewer with a lot of enjoyable detail. Well done!

Thanks Sean, much appreciated. Heading to beach and wineries for a couple of days so should get some varied subjects although forecasting 40C (103F) for Saturday so might just be in the water cooling off :)
