This Cockerel standing there proudly puffed up posing in his attempt to impress his "Harem" the light showing off the iridescence of his long tail feathers his stiff comb & wattles quivering as he crows & that golden eye watching you closely. Created with very skilful brushwork, beautiful choice blending & applications of his colours in the creation of this portrait.

I grew up with chickens and we had a rooster that looked a lot like this one,,when it was time to kill them I was told by my dad to go get the chickens one at a time, at the third one, the rooster attacked me, so my dad had to go get him out of there in order to continue,,they can really by nasty birds. You did good with your detailed work and the colours. Your blending with your material is nice. Love this brings back memories

beautiful coloring contrasts shades of brown striking
love the pose- light gray background brings out the bird- you captured it visually very well through the art of painting love your strokes background gives it an old world feel stokes on the bird is very feathery great job
