No way this is a painting digital or otherwise. Magnificent work. The realism is fantastic. The soft colors and the pop of yellow give this a wonderful DOF. The surrounding green foliage frames the scene elegantly.

Sorry I can't help in identification, but it surely is a fine shot. The light is very good and gives you excellent detail in both the petals and the stamens. I like the colors and the very fine composition.

Thank you for your kind review Mike!
This is not a photo, but a painting, I tried to be realistic with detail as color.
I have a bit searched, it is a Peony, but it seems that there are several hybrids in different colors which are not named.

Beautiful digital painting Cleo :) I am sorry, I have no idea what this might be, I do have to agree it looks like a member of the vast peony family:)

I really like you composition on this shot, well balances, perfectly offset and draw the eye in very nicely :)

Thank you Shirley, I appreciate your kind review very much.
It is indeed a peony. I have searched a little, but so far it appears that there are several hybrids different in color; but not especially named.

What a beautiful hibiscus, I just love the soft color range on the petals and the strong center - your picture is well framed with the perfect negative space - your angle is well chosen and I love the bud on the left - excellent focus, your picture has genuine and soft contrast and lighting, I think is has perfect sharpness and is well balanced , a very beautiful flower shot, thanks for sharing

Thank you Regina, For your encouraging review. I am happy you like my picture, but it is not a photo. It is a painting. What looks like a hibiscus is actually a peony, a flower which does grows not in Central- and South America. It is perhaps the northern aquivalent to the southern hibiscus because the blooms are smaller, but as beautifull as hibiscus blossoms.

I believe it to be a hibiscus but you can consult the internet if you like.
Lovely painting. You have mastered the look of this hybrid and I love the whole scene and would want more to be shown. Thanks.

Thank you very much for your encouraging comments. Your review and your high rating are an encouragement for me.
I hace searched on the plant. It is an Peony hybrid, perhaps the northern equivalent to the southern hibiscus. Truth the blossoms are smaller, it blooms as beautifully as hibiscus.
