Very nice job on this ostrich Lucien! It looks a bit angry to me, and arrogant as well! A high degree of attention to detail with each stipple! Excellent work!

Believe me, the eye really does give you that very mistrustful look ostriches have a tendency to do. Your rendering of that aspect has certainly been achieved. The fact that you stated you were trying to have a minimal effect on the rest of his head has definitely worked, the two different approaches giving balance to the image. Even though I may like your bears better, I must state that this contains all the wonderful elements that you always exhibit.

Interesting use of the Pointalism scheme. I have yet to see this technique used with an ostrich. You did a great job capturing it. I would of liked to see it a little more developed though.. But besides that, it is great!

Mr. madness my man, I appreciate the time and the review, I was trying to capture the head with the minimal amount of dots... from what you have said, I did that, it looks like an Ostrich... I win (isn't this fun?) seen the rest of my pointillism drawings?
    take care... Cheers... LvO

LVO please do not be offended, i think you can do better with this one, there is not enough depth to the length of beak and space in between the beak and forehead, that is just my opinion though!

I am going to review this on the elements I think are the most important in a piece of art using the 6 star format. Composition:5 Color palette:B/W Light and Dark contrasts:5 Unique use of subject matter:5 Creativity:4 Any low score on any of these would be where I think the piece could be improved.

Excellent! Even with your earlier work with pointillism you were fantastic at doing it! I love this! The ostrich is very visible on this, and the eye is perfect! Excellent job. Thank you so much for sharing this.
