The olive trees always seem to show the difficulties of their existence. I love the gnarled trunks and convoluted limbs. Very nice colors and excellent detail in the trees.

Mary, this is lovely, just plain lovely. Those patterned branches of trees gorgeous, the gnarly feel of trunks stunning...the pop of building situated exactly where it ought to be. To me it looks like this photo was taken by a photographer who understands her "onions".

Try changing it to black and white - use channel mixers and have fun but first really saturate the colours....then flip into monochrome....just for fun.

The historical story of the trees alone should be enough to protect them. I'm not a "never develop" person, but there are things that are sacred and should not be touched. These are now on that list (as is Yosemite, Sequoia, Grand Canyon, Zion and other areas). A very nice image of the trees. Well focused. Good narrative. Thank you for sharing.

Nice info notes.
Great story telling factor.
A cool, shaded capture.
Impressive presentation of these century old trees with gnarled branches & criss crossing twigs.
Diminishing perspective. Vanishing viewpoint.
Subtle illumination.
Diffused focusing.
Thanks for sharing...
