I would judge that this kite surfer is considerably closer than the others you have posted and not just because of his size in the frame. I like the exploding spray and the great body position this guy has achieved.

Actually Not being able to see the face makes this a very effective capture. The eye focuses on the action and the water drops rather than a face. With this scene you made the right choice. Nicely done Fred ~ Steve

A wonderful stop action picture of the Kite Surfer taking off from the sea leaving in his wake a lot of spray frozen in mid air by your fast exposure. Beautiful composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.
