Gorgeous colors so bright, clear and vivid. Purple, whites, and center yellow WOW! Background is also fantastic for this columbine. Centered, detailed and shadowed properly. Gorgeous photo and great eye viewer.

Nice one! I think Columbines are so elegant! They grow wild (in many colors) all over the mountains of Colorado!
Nice focus, DOF, and post processing.
Artist license: I have this "thing" about the subject being too low in the frame... as if it's going to drop off... like a person in a portrait. (Maybe a square crop on this one... cropping the top off a bit?)

They are weeds in my yard also but they do have an elegant sort of flower. I like this artful presentation with the colors of the flower reintroduced in the background. Very nice colors and fine details.

Not much fun fare & pizzazz.
Just simple flowing lines and graceful curves.
A visually soothing painterly feel that seems to stretch your focal attention to the edge of the frame--or even beyond!
The colors are harmonious with nice contrast & just enough saturation.
Subtle illumination.
Diffused focusing.
Fine details, features and textures.
