This is a lovely piece of art of a partial nude looking over her left shoulder. The rich colors of the chair, her red drape and hat against the soft gray background are outstanding. The drawing of the woman is well done. The shading on her back and cheek are unusual, as they remind me of spiderwebs rather than traditional shading techniques. I do like this painting overall.

As I browse through artwork, I will not forget this piece. It intrigues me because of the combination of art styles used in one portrait. The intricacy of the hat blanket and red attire are exquisite. The face and the back have a haunting effect. The foot detail makes me wonder which step she is going to take next (stand up or turn around).

Oh how lovely she is Raoul....her tilted head...the gorgeous red hair and the single foot peeking out from beneath her robe.

And the hat....lol...LOVE it. Marvelous use of shading, shadow and color...and then a poem to go w/ all of that. Wonderful work....all the way round!!
