A very original sculpture to commemorate such an important event in history. The rosemary in the background adds to the image being known as a flower of remembrance. Lovely composition and technicals to achieve good focus, lighting and color.

We need to have more contests up showing statues. Thank you for your artist's notes and explaining this well taken photograph.
"WAR what is it good for....absolutely nuttin" ...but we need to remember those who lost their lives so that we can live in freedom...we must never forget.
As far as the photographic quality of your upload goes it is very well taken. You present only what matters...the background, save for the bas relief does not interfere, if anything it supports the statue.
Your tonal ranges are dynamic and the light source can be seen. You do have some HOT spots, especially on his right sleeve but the strength of the image causes us to overlook that.
Nicely cropped, well composed and good notes makes this a very strong contender in the contest.

Very edifying. I was there in Scotland and enjoyed the history of the country very much. I hadn't realized before my visit how important a contribution Scotland has made in the world.
Beautiful photograph.
Best of luck in the contest.

A wonderful capture of the Heroic Tribute to the brave men and women who risked and gave their lives for their country. The scene has been well rendered in the photograph and does these men and women proud and gives all due Honor. Best of fortune in the contest ~ Steve
