I love old buildings. You can almost smell the musky odor inside. Great angle and framing. Great artist notes. Where is this old building?

Nice initial impact! I really like the soft sky and soft color on school building, like the placement of the tree to the left adds interest to your scene. Nicely focused and good details. Good job! A pleasure to view! Thanks for sharing!

Another great looking shot of an old building, but I am not sure why it is entered into this contest. Of course it is good light in this photo, but it is nothing special about it. There again, who knows what the committee is looking for in contests like this. I especially like the way the tree on the left is working as a nice and natural framing.
Your photo is of course nice and sharp and it is very fine details to be seen in every part of the building. You have captured such fine reflections in all the windows, and the exposure is perfect.
I also think the way you cropped the photo is working well, and the building is well placed within the frame. It is a lovely and well taken photo with a very good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

Thank you... I never know what the committee is looking for until after the contest since it is all such a secret. They don't even let you see all the entries so who knows what they are looking for

That is true. I don't know why they don't show the entries, but I suppose it is a reason. Anyway, you are more than welcome for the review.

All for using foreground objects as frames but in this case, the main portion of the subject is the front of the building and this is partially hid by the tree - also the tree consumes a bit too much space and makes the image appear a bit unbalanced.
The school leans a bit, an issue that can be resolved in post processing with minor effort.
The image appears sharp and the lighting is sufficiently soft to clearl show the subject.

A smart perspective to present this old school building. I like the use of tree as foreground. Focus on the building is good. Plain background fits the building.
Well done and thanks for sharing.

Where did they move the school? This is a beautiful building and I guess it is a piece of history for this town. It is wonderful, though, how they can restore it for people who really need a home.
Very well done photo.

A beautiful capture of this school, again you found the perfect angle and distance to show the building from 2 sides - I love the tree coming in creating a nice environment effect - then sky seems to enlighten the building, if the spirit would shine out of it
excellent focus, contrast and lighting, I think this picture is well composed, well framed, with a beautiful initial impression, thanks for sharing
