I just knew you would come up with an entry for this contests, and it is indeed a good entry for this contest. To me this is a 6 stars shot, but as usual I have run out. I especially like the close and personal approach, and also the all dark background for the little praying boy to stand out in an excellent way. It is also lovely the way the light is falling on his face.
Your photo is also pin sharp showing fine details in the jersey and the glasses, and the exposure is just perfect.
I like very much the tight cropping as well, but would personally have preferred just a tad more negative space at the top. Still this is a minor issue, because this is a truly lovely and well taken portrait, and I wish you luck with the contest.

I saw when I was uploading this picture that the size has changed. I have always used 800 on the width. What do you use?

You are more than welcome Willie. I don't really use anything at all. I just send my photo as it is and let the site do the job. It works for me.

Smart little cookie, this one. I just swooned when I saw this pose. He looks so angelic that it is frightening. I am guess he is about 8 years old. So adorable I could just squeeze the bejeezus out of him.
