What a great close up of this guy's face! Being seated in the car gave you a nice upward view. I like how much the texture of the beak stands out as well as the eyelashes and other tiny hairs around his face.

This big birdie looks very ornery like he might be up to no good. And even try to give you a run for you money. It seems he has a smirk on his face, as if he enjoys watching people instead of having people watch him. Thanks for sharing.

LOL...love it Chuck...imagine seeing this guy's face right outside your window!

The tight crop on his face is perfect. Focus is crisp and sharp on that face. Well exposed. You've actually set this one really well. A delightful entrant for the Wildlife Contest so best of luck!!

Great photo. This guy really is bold. Perhaps he wanted your attention. I love that you captured his direct stare, he is so well blended with his natural environment that one knows he is in his element. Great compositio, colors are great, focus is amazing. Love it. Thank you for sharing.

Great eye lashes! I know they are aggressive and very strong. They use those necks like whips but fascinating creatures they are. Pretty good focus and dof is adequate. I'm guessing this was a female, so no showy white "wings".
A very interesting portrait!!

A very nice shot with excellent composition. The detail in the ostrich is very good; I especially like his eye lashes. Fine natural colors and an attractive setting. Best of luck in the contest.

This is cool! A neat rule of thirds composition perfectly places the head that the smile and eye become prominent. A lovely shot of a fun fellow.

Well done and thanks for sharing.

This Ostrich is really cute, and it almost looks like it is smiling. I think most women would be green with envy over the fantastic looking eye lashes. The bird is also standing out really well from the background.

Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in the lovely face, and it is nothing wrong with the exposure either.

I think the tight cropping is working really well, and the Ostrich has got a very good placement off to the right. This of course makes for a good and well balanced composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and I wish you luck with the contest.
