This is a great capture of a very beautifully restored historic home. The italianate style is replicated well here. And your excellent photo has captured every aspect of it's architecture clearly enough to study in a class...the typical flat roof and the wide eaves with those large brackets and the ballustraded balconies. This was a true early form of what we know as the Victorian style.
Sorry..I love architecture. And your very pretty picture is a pleasure to view. Your colors are vivid and the curtains and light that you have captured in the windows have brought not only this house to life but your photo. I wonder which straight line you used to level this house? Sometimes following straight lines of an historic homes means other straight lines are not level. That gives it even more of that true historic impression. Just like more than likely unlevel floors. I would like to know about that balustrade (?) on the roof.
I think your framing has given us the best of the detail of the house...not of the surroundings..but of the house. You have cropped it close enough for study. Again..thank you for that. Nice work! And Good luck!

Thanks much for the great review. You know your architecture! What struck me at first was the absolute symmetry from side to side, just like a mirror image. Even the upstairs curtains. And the high rating-a victorian bonus.
Thanks again!

You are most welcome! I studied architectural drafting in college...back in the day. :D

And it is in a nice park too. Very nice capture of this lovely house. All the technical things are in place. Nice lighting, even with the sun/shade differential. Good luck in the contest. Lots of great entries.

Thanks for the nice review. Yes it is a nice park, maybe a few to many Canadian geese however! :)

A very fine looking piece of architecture. The lighting is good and shows the details in fine detail. I like the colors but might like a little more room above the chimneys. Best of luck in the contest.
