As always, you seem to catch the light and picturesque view perfectly. This is an outstanding shot and deserves a kudos. It is more than a picture postcard...it is magnificent.

awww...you are too kind Mama M. Not only did you have to go to my page to find this one (I know it had expired)...you then say the very nicest things about my photo AND give it a gold star! Such a lovely surprise...honestly- as I figured there would be no more reviews of it. I have said before that I sometimes feel like a cheat b/c wherever I point my camera here where I live there is a photo just begging to be taken. At any rate- thank you so very much for looking this one up and being so generous. I really do appreciate it.

Well, I started my review and added as a favorite and now starting over. This is just breathtaking. The golden sky in background with the dark forest with snow just pops. I would love to paint this if you would allow me to. I have been looking for some inspiration of a new painting and this is definitely a winner. Please email me on here if you would allow me the privilege of painting your lovely picture. I know I would not totally do it justice as this photo but I would surely try. Thanks for sharing.

Damn, it was so cold a few days ago when I took this that I had a hard time w/ my camera. Anyway, I certainly appreciate you sticking w/ it and most especially for the gold star you shared. It is a very fine composition of a winter's scene. Any of the fir or pines trees are very nice to see covered with snow as the weight bends the branches down. Very clean shot in the low light giving it a soft, peaceful feeling. Very well taken and thanks for sharing.

Would love to walk that trail. Love how the yellowish red of the sky not only gives this photo nice depth but also outlines the snowy trees very well. The snow also brings out the green of the trees and gives great focus to everything. Thanks for sharing and HAGE.

This is a beautiful winter scene Deborah, and you have pictured it so well. I especially like the golden sky in the contrast to the blue hues seen in the landscape and how well the big tree on the left is framing the scene in such a lovely and natural way.
Your photo is also nice and sharp and it is indeed clear and well defined details to be seen in all the trees. I also think the exposure is fine.
The photo is nicely framed and your POV very good. It is also a fine balance in the composition. I think this is a truly lovely and well taken photo, and with a very good DOF.

That large Maple I just loved.....among all the fir trees it looked wonderful I thought so thank you av for mentioning that tree. Seems we looked at the scene similarly. Always appreciate your well written and detailed reviews av. Thank you so much for checking out this post.
