I am sure this is stunning but on my screen, the color is a bit washed out and the lilies are overexposed. It is probably my computer. The overall structure of the scene is artistic and well constructed.

Many thanks for your nice review. I think it's the watercolours that don't upload very well. It's the same with pastels, don't know why. Suzanne

Very Nice water color painting. Love your color choices. The muted blue green background makes the Lilies stand out and become the main focus of the painting. Thank so much for sharing.

So beautiful are the Lily's and beautifully done in water colour. Your colors and blending of colors are excellent. I like the colors in your background almost give this piece movement. The salt as also made this an interesting piece and adding to its beauty. Beautifully done! A pleasure to view! Thanks for sharing!

I love this work for its classical style of watercolour painting. The concept of flow and the application of color dominate your work. The colours are chosen well and the work is well balanced. Thanks for sharing!

I can see the care given to this stem of white lilies with its intricate details on stamens and pollen within flowerheads. Backdrop is delightful and works so well with main subject against blue splashes. Your technique I find amazing and to add salt for effect opens my mind to the world of artists and materials. Us photographers have an easier time I,d say.

This is such a lovely painting. I especially was admiring your background before I even read the procedure you used, which is, by the way.....very effective. The blending colors of green, blue and white accentuate the flowers themselves...Basically three colors on your palette and three blooming flowers painted on your "canvas" [I cannot remember what you said you painted on...but I consider it a canvas of some type] and three leaves of green...Three is a good number...it is odd which is always good no matter what. This is quite pleasant to look at...soft colors making it vibrant in such a unique way. Love how you did the background....Excellent. Top notch is everything. Thanks for just posting it. If it would have been for a contest, if it would not have won, it would have been in the top 3 for certain.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. I used Bockingford 300g watercolour paper, which is nice and thick and is in a block, so you don't have to stretch the paper on to a board. I'm very pleased you like this one. Suzanne

Wonderful image with some fabulous artistic flair in the water color use - the movement is wonderful and engaging. I am feeling that I would love to see a bit more curve to the stems... not sure why! LOL - Great as is with grand power in the color and wonderful light. Thanks for sharing. Wonderful! :-))

Many thanks, Debi, for your very nice review. I know what you mean about the stems but these actually were very straight. Suzanne
