Red sky at night, sailors delight. When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow. Red sky in morning, sailor's warning.
Love the fire colored glow of this twilight capture Grace.
Great silohuette trees and landscape.
You need to straighten it a tad as it tilts right. I know you probably liked the dark water with Rd highlights..But I would have cropped that out.
Nice shot.

Thank you! Funny how I hadn't noticed the tilt when that is something I look for. Good eye :)

WOW! You've captured some gorgeous colours in this beautiful sunset scene forecasting a fine day tomorrow with the setting sun making the sky look as if it's on fire. The silhouettes of the trees and buildings create great contrast. Very good lighting and focus. Lovely composition. Suzanne

Reminds me of one song I like by the group called "Fixx". Red Skies at Night.

I think you did a fine job here Grace. Colors are really stunning. Low light silhouettes are seen and we know what we see. And some of the red overlapping into the ground (or is that water?)

Either way, a pleasant view.

I know that song! That is water in the foreground, which is difficult to tell in the darkness. Thank you for having a look :)

A beautiful picture of a sunset bringing Shepherd's delight...forecasting a good day to follow. Beautiful composition framing & lighting with soft red reflections on the lake's water in the foreground. Artistic composition, framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus.

Thank you very much. Not many people are as familiar with Shepherd's delight as they are with Sailor's delight. Nice to hear your take on it :)

"Red sky at night, a sailor's delight". An attractive tree line and great color in the sky. I might crop off about half of the dark bottom though.

A blazing skyline with thick silhouette in front.
Diffused focusing & subtle illumination from a dying golden hour.

Thanks for sharing...

Great pleasure in this capture - red in a dominate, powerful and sunny bit of detail. Great lighting as well so kudos on the exposure. Strength in the moment is just what I have to say. :-)) Thanks for sharing.
