Great capture Mary!
These turtles remind of our Florida soft shell turtles at the Wetlands.
I like that you can see the flat round soft shell and the eye and snake like head.
Excellent eye clarity on both the turtle and it's reflection.
Great camera techs on this!
I see nice improvements on your work!

Now this is a very cool capture. Fabulous on the lighting to capture that detail over the head and reflection. Wow... Guess I missed an entire day. Oh well... gonna make up for it. Great color... nice and natural. Fun shot!!! Thanks for sharing!

A beautiful picture of the Murray River Turtle swimming in the lake with just it's head above water on which it is reflected, giving the impression it has two heads.

You have done an excellent job getting good detail of the face on the turtle. That isn't always an easy thing to do with these guys. I like the nice clear reflection too and that his shell stands out even while submerged beneath the water.

Quite a beautiful and interesting nature shot presented here. I know almost nothing about turtles but this seems to have a head which is much too small for its body! Perhaps it's just a lens effect of the water. Nevertheless, well done!

Thanks Nikman appreciate your feedback. This variety of turtle definitely have very small heads compared to the shell size the male grow up to 2.2kg and females up to 4 kg they are interesting to watch as you mainly just see the little head pop up to take in air through the large nostrils. :)

OutStanding,Mary! : )
I've always been fascinated with Herpetological subjects, especially Chelonian types, and most especially with Chelonian types that aren't common to Yank viewers like me! : )
Your photo of this Murray River Turtle ( A type I'd never even heard of before! ) looks Great!

Beautiful capture of ....I believe is a snapping turtle...Great timing, I love the underwater body shot as well as a beautifully clear view of the snakelike head breaking to the top of the water with what appears to be a wake in front of the chin. Thanks for sharing. orion65

Thanks so much I appreciate your positive feedback. Not realizing there are lots of different types I looked it up and apparently it is a Murray River Turtle which are apparently quite common in this part of Australia. :) Mary

A very nice shot. I am surprised to see such large eyes on a turtle. The reflection is great and I like the submerged shell. Great cropping and fine colors.
