Wanted to check this guy out yesterday Grace but ran out of time. I saw one these up in one of my Apple Trees a few years ago but couldn't get a shot and it certainly wouldn't have been as good as this. Must be some kind of zoo or shelter or something here, yes??
Most excellent focus. He is perfectly detailed throughout....from the left ear tuft down through that gorgeous face and beautiful eyes. Colors are natural. Just the most excellent portrait piece Grace of a very elusive cat. Well done notes as well.
A really well considered and well executed image here. Like it lot.

Yep, this guy is at the MN Zoo. He has been there for at least a decade now. I thought he looked like he was giving me permission to capture his gorgeousness! Thank you for checking it out :)

I figured it was a zoo...these guys are very difficult to catch in the wild and I don't think he minded a bit you taking his photo....you did it really well Grace. Welcome for the review too. He was worth going to your page to find!

Great head shot. Sharp. The textures are perfect. The colors natural. Nice expression. Only thing that bothers me are the white strips on the left side. Otherwise Well done..Good lighting

Thank you very much for reviewing. Those are rocks and shadows on the left side that lead to a cave. I guess it is a bit of an eye sore. I appreciate your feedback - thank you :)

He is one impressive looking cat. The yellow piercing eyes are a bit eerie and give him a slight oriental look.:) The pose is perfect as it gives us a rare close-up of his detailed face. The tufted ears are also a trademark of bobcats in Michigan. I had one sitting gin my backyard last fall. He was checking out the birdfeeder. Beautiful shot.
