Back lit clouds are always lovely when the light is a creating a silver lining like this. The light is of course great in this photo, but what I especially like is the strong contrast between dark and light. This has created drama to this simple scene.
Your photo is also sharp, crisp and clear, and the exposure is perfect.
I like the diagonal position of the rays ending up in the upper right corner, and also how well the rays in the upper left one. It is good balance in the composition. A truly lovely and well taken photo with a good DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

A very nicely composed shot. I like the backlit clouds and the fantastic beam that does indeed look like flames from a dragon's mouth. Great colors. Best of luck in the contest.
