This is great,at first I thought it was a photo. Very realistic with good proportions,the textures and detailing are exquisite,and the use of light and shade really adds to the realism of the skipper.Simply beautiful work!

I like the shapes of the skipper's wings and you did a lovely job making them look so realistic. I like how you blended the colors on this little guy and the leaf. You created nice texture in the wings. The details of the flower that he occupies are very impressive and three dimensional.

A 12 star out of 10 -this item is more then perfect again - your painting have 3D reality impact as it looks like a photograph - I am really wondering how you can do these fine details - are you working with a drawing pad?
Fantastic composition, I love everything from the soft green background and the excellent macro impression - even the wings look like real with their raw wing surface - stunning job, excellent definition, well done

Tank you very much for your encouraging review.
I am working with a touch pad. I use the biggest size of digital canvas available. I apply a raster with 9 equal squares in a layer which I delete when the painting is done. Then I blow the canvas up to 500% and work on each square separately usually using only small brushes. :o)
