This is an interesting painting. I love the bright colors and the flat style of painting the bottles. I also like the negative space in the middle. It gives it some depth. I wonder if a different color in the glass would have been a nice contrast to the red of the bottle. Just a thought. Either way, nice job!

A nicely composed painting with super saturated colors. I like the simplicity of the design and the nice background which seems to be curiously missing between the bottles. Good luck in the contest.

Love the colors used...very brillant and eye catching. The only thing I would say is the red wine bottle doesn't look as developed, shape wise as the blue base. It almost looks flat in comparison to the blue and the wine glass. Maybe I just don't understand the concept of expressive art.

I like the colors you've selected for your bottles....the blue and the red are quite striking...and I just realized how pefect this piece is for July 4tth w/ the red, white and blue!!
Now I am assuming that is meant to be a window between the two bottles, yes?? It may be just a tad jarring....I seem to be drawn to the whiteness of it more than I am to the two colored bottles. Cannot quite decide if it's YOUR painting or just the fear of always having a white portion in one of my photos too bright and thus having it detract from the overall image. I do like your stripes in the background and the lovely little bit of foliage you've added to the blue bottle.
Best of luck w/ your painting in the contest.

A lovely, lively and basic still life painting, using wonderful bright colours to accentuate the blue and red of the bottles and the glass (half full? lol) with nice background colours merging nicely, showing a range of colours light colours and set to a brown setting for the scene, which builds up nicely into the carefully and gradual blend of tones. A great alternative piece and an excellent example of still life - great work :)

I enjoy the vibrancy of the colors and the fine details you have achieved while giving the piece a somewhat abstract feel to the background. The overall effect is an attractive combination of the appearance of watercolor with an acrylic impression.
