Well alpaca, the best thing to do with that carrot would be eating it. I guess you just waited, so the photographer could take this cute photo. This is really a nice portrait of the animal. The features of the face are shown in detail and natural color and emphasized by the green background. I think a crop of most of the grassy area on the right would make this portrait even more interesting.

I like the depth in this image and how well you got the texture of his fur to stand out. He is super cute and the expression with the carrot is adorable. The exposure of the color is also very nice.

This brings back happy memories for me of when I stayed with relatives in Australia and we visited an Alpaca farm. This is a great shot of the lovely Alpaca with the carrot in his mouth, wondering what to do next. Very good lighting and sharp focus. Very nice composition Mary. Suzanne

Thanks Suzanne, yes Alpaca farms are pretty popular, just knitting a jacket in Alpaca/Wool mix beautiful to work with.

A very nice looking little animal. He has a gentle look in his eye that goes well with his fluffy fur. A nicely composed shot with great colors.

Thanks Mike, they make lovely pets if you have enough area for them as they are very gentle. :) Mary

Laugh out loud! This is a cute caption And an excellent capture with your camera. Your detail is good. Your colors are true. And your framing is artfully chosen. I do wonder if backing off of the saturation a bit may bring out more detail and clarity especially in the eye . But that is my own efforts with my own photos. This is a cute story to go along with this photo. Thanks for sharing !

Thanks so much, yes tried to decrease saturation but then it became too bright in background so decided to leave pretty much straight out of camera just cropped fingers as they went away after giving carrot to him. :)

I think he is chewing that one over! Your nice composition gives us a good look at your alpaca. Exposure and sharpness are fine. Like the detail that your camera settings have captured. Nicely taken!
