These flowers have such a dramatic design to them and I think your dark background helps to emphasize their design and bright color contrasts. The arrangement of the flowers draw the eye in immediately and the leaves make an attractive and subtle filler for the space around the flowers.

When I first glanced at your photo I thought it was fireworks. Than the second look I saw flowers. What a photo. I like the dark leaves in the back. Just enough of them showing to give the photo a grounding effect.

I've grown GAZANIA in my gardens as annuals av but not in these beautiful colors.
Wonderful crisp focus....they are just beautifully detailed. Amazing color especially against your new green background. I really like the subdued foliage you've added...or included actually. I'm not sure but the entire piece is pretty enough to be on the front of a note card av.

You almost need sunglasses to view these annie,such is the brightness of the flowers,wonder if I will come across these in crete when I go,probarly not,they blend in with the greenish background really well...brian

Some of my favorites in my garden because the not only survive our desert climate, but are also unique in their distinctive flamboyant colors and markings. You have them captured beautifully and brought the contradiction of the bright yellow and deep brown full out. The flowers are very crisp and detailed while the soft green leaves illuminate the dark background. The photo is nicely cropped. It is balanced and the flowers are well placed into the frame.
