A great drawing here using brilliant tones and shades, and fascinating textures that create quite a harrowing and sinister look at the face and image of the subject. Great detail and proportion as well, and the "melting" or stretching effect of the bridge of the nose and distortion of the mouth is quite incredible - it looks as though it has been done digitally but clearly not, which is all the more impressive - great attention to detail throughout and an outstanding piece, well done :)

Wow, I have so many questions about this. What is The Cleansing? Is it a cult or religious ritual, what is the purpose of the ritual? This piece has so much going for it, but the lack of notes, leaves us wondering. Without your notes this is a picture of your artwork, with your notes, it is a masterpiece! It is quite obvious that you are very talented. The proportion of the nose to the face is perfect, the way you drew the eyes, with focus on the lashes and the use of shadow give it depth and pathos. I don't understand what is going on in the mouth. I cannot identify whether the mouth is open, are we seeing tongue, is the person screaming or is the mouth filled with something as part of the cleansing. You have given this face so much incredible detail in that we can identify, but have left us wondering what we are looking at in other places, which is good, it keeps the viewer guessing and the eye engaged and re-engaged. I like the way you showed contrast by the use of black in the background. What is the round object next to the mouth, is it a world? So many questions, so much more to learn, bravo!

a very interesting piece to view. A small glimpse of a much larger picture that forces you to look closer. I like the darkness of the image as well as the blurred lines. Well done

There she is again, that young girl going through turbulence of change, growth, pain.
I know you want constructive criticism ....here it is...see that patch under her R eye...I feel it could use more "washing" lines and her shoulder ...hmmm if you leave it that white it will steal the show, or part of it.
That tall vertical gives a secretive glimpse into the girl's moment, nothing else matters, we are riveted to her angst.
