Wow - this is very nice and the amount of pollen covering this guy is amusing! Great detail and clarity. I like how much of the detail in the wing shows. The dark background accentuates the subject well.

A wonderful picture of this pollen covered Honey Bee crawling along the top of a woven basket, pollen grains sticking to the fine bristles on her head, thorax,. Abdomen & limbs. Beautiful composition framing & lighting taken with superb camera techniques & sharp focus. Good luck in the contest...she is truly a pollinator,
Susan

I never use insecticide sprays in the garden, though I'm tempted to when the roses get an Aphid attack.

Certainly covered in pollen, nicely seen.

The image itself is soft on the main focal point and you missed giving us information on pollination. If you read the criteria for this contest you will see that is a requirement.

Hurry hurry before you are dq-ed.

Oh, I don't get involved with contests...will have a look as to why your perfect shot didn't get in....and who did? I am eating my lens cap with peanut butter.

it is unbelievable: the winner, cfrezart has an appropriate and funny title about geometry in nature; but the contest was about moths, not geometry! his moth is ridiculous small and not very sharp! unfortunately I cannot write it in the forum: it will be deleted....

Crikey you've captured a shot of "Pollinator II: Judgement Bee" there, haven't you! I doubt it'll even be able to take off! Brilliant close up with great clarity and superb detail, after just doing the pollen bucket challenge lol. Good positioning and set well against the black background which accentuates it even further. Great shot and best of luck in the competition! :)
