Steve, your artist's notes and the photo feels like a balm soothing my heart and yes let us not lose perspective. A perfect way to get your message to us through words and photography. This photograph is so suited to your narrative.

The texture of the rocks is felt and what a great juxtaposition against the background smoothness of crashing waves. Had this been in colour it would not have the same pull and you knew this too. You do seem to have a selenium hint of tint and it works.

The dynamic range of your tones is spot on and you have not lost any detail to clipping or blow outs, well done.

I take this photo as the last one I'm viewing today and your words to heart.

My day ends nicely here in Chiang Mai...and I hear the patter of rain, yes it is rainy season. Thank you....a Cyber 6.

Wow. Thank you so Very much for your wonderful review and comments Olga. Your 'Feel' for the scenes You shoot touch me very deeply and to be honest, are an inspiration for me to expand my own vision of the way things can be seen. You are the first to recognize that there is indeed a hint of selenium in the photo. I am trying to do more black and white and make it a bit different than simply B&W. Thank you again my friend for your artistic review and comments ~ Steve

Superb presentation. I like this work because it is so classical in its concept and execution and in its atmosphere; The light, colour and the composition have worked well. Good effort!

Beautiful photo.
The black and white adds a depth and focus that would be lost in color.
I love how the rocks line up and move off to the left whilst the waves crash into the center.
Your narrative was a nice reminder to focus on what matters and not get dragged into the undertow.
Well done.

What a wonderful modernist Interpretation of this scene. The Black and White really works very, very well. I love the little bits of the clouds over the sky. This is a very creative and well done photo.

This surely is stunning, Dude! Love the into black and white rendition to present drama of contrast. Splashes' texture and pattern are delightful.

Very well done and thanks for sharing.

Why are there no sixes left! Steve, this is fabulous. Makes an immediate wow moment at initial impact. The B&W with that touch of color is magical and lets every nuance of light and shadow take on dramatic effect. Beautiful clarity and DOF also contribute. Great notes once again that ring true in every way. Thank you. It is a privilege to know you and your artful photography. Ed.

Thank you Ed. The star rating is not nearly as important as what it says to You. That is all that matters. From one of your talent and insight this review is a Seven ~ Steve

Endearing notes with sympathetic social concern...
I feel this image instill in our subconscious the need to ponder how can we ease the pain by thinking about the positive effects of social interaction through our chosen field of arts...

A sharply focused still motion shot freezing the waves in time...
Dichromatic rendition with fantabulous tonal range.

Fine features & varied textures.

Inclusion of that glowing light signify a ray of hope, calmness after a storm, peace after the turmoil...

Visually balanced composition in diminishing perspective.
Vanishing viewpoint gives us great depth.
Good perspective & long depth of field...

Thanks for sharing...

Thank you so much my friend for your review and technical comments. Always a learning experience. One day, perhaps, you will tell me what you "Feel" in the photo (Subjective) along with your Objective observations of the technical aspects. Just a thought ~ Steve

I added a paragraph in my review. Please read the first part again.
I'm more into the objective as the subjective feeling is more often biased...than not. ;-))
reply by the author on 01-Sep-2017
I Understand. The Subjective is Always Bias. For that says WHO we ARE and not what we Think. I truly do appreciate your first paragraph Dick.

Okay thanks Ed for appreciating! ;-))
