I think this color is glorious! The palette of oranges and golds and touches of green that you have captured here are my favorites to welcome in the Fall season...also my favorite.
Your framing is perfect. Your Dahlia is turning her face to the warmth of the sun in what feels like a humble way...almost in thanks for the last remaining days of summer.
Your DOF is perfection as well.. showing a bit of her garden behind her. But again...She seems purely grateful for her place in this garden...as she knows there are many lovely flowers there and she is but one.
Exposure is perfect...just enough light and saturation on this beautiful flower. Definitely a framer. Best of luck in the contest!
