I do see the wide mouth hippo. Good catch. The composition is very interesting and the way the sun plays on the main cloud is very pretty. Good luck in the contest. Karen

you are right: it is a wide mouth open, but looks rather like a dog , not a hippo; I'll post a hippo tomorrow, you'll see the difference;

pretty cool. at first i though it was a mushroom cloud from an atomic blast. glad it isnt..wink. cool colors that you have captured. the clarity is great. the angle of the shot of the colorful clouds is great. the capture of the light is great. the image is balanced and eye appealing to the viewer. good eye and great job overall.

Haha well spotted and imaginatively identified, I see the likeness clearly too! It is always difficult with these observations as unless very clear it is down to perception but this holds no doubt in my mind! Well taken and timed, capturing the shape well with the long DOF and also the interesting array of colours too - great work and best of luck in the competition! :)

It could be a hippo.
It could be a pug snouted politician shaking this fat little hand to emphasize a particular point.
The little bit of clouds on the upper right look the the politician is spewing something into the air.
The dark cloud on the lower left sort of looks like the Lochness monster.
