I wish animals could live longer lives. It is so sad when it's time to say goodbye. They are just so special and take up so much room in our hearts. She was a beautiful girl with those jewel eyes and perfect seal point coloration. Sorry for your loss Deb. It was nice that you took her in and gave her a good life.

awww...thank you dear Grace for having a look at my Ming. You know I still keep thinking I see her out of the corner of my eye...walking around the back of the wood stove or sitting up on the windowsill. She was a good girl......Comanche and I miss her. You're a sweetheart for commenting.....thank you.

Beautiful shot! I'm crazy for blue eyes, especially in animals. You capture all the sparkly details in her eyes (like the "Super ball's" of my youth) and the details of her fur and whiskers. I also like her devious look. The wheels of mischief or mayhem are turning.

a gorgeous cat and my favourite by far and infact if i had not gone for Bruce and Herbert it was a siamese blue point that i would have brought in to the family fold instead. I had a siamese for 17 years as a young boy called Chi-Su and she was just amazing and loved her so much .You have captured your little beauty so well in this photo...just stunning and s for those eyes ....mmmmmmm

This is a wonderful portrait of Ming Ling! Those blue eyes are amazing! Perfect depth of field to get her sharp and the background beautifully out of focus.
I'm sorry to here she has passed away, but as you said, she can now wander in a more beautiful place.

I am so sorry to hear that this beautiful cat has passed away. I so much enjoyed reading the story about her, and I am so happy you have taken such good care of her. You have also taken a lovely portrait of your cat, and especially the blue eyes are well captured. The green and softened background is perfect for the cat to stand out in an excellent way.

Your focus is also spot on and sharp showing really clear and well defined details in every part of the cat, and the exposure is perfect.

The tight cropping works so well, and Ming Ling is well placed within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo Deborah, and with an excellent DOF.

Oh my. You have done a marvelous job remembering your friend here. She does have a look of wanting to be somewhere else. Her eyes are very expressive and beautiful, almost eerie. Great job capturing her soul.

What a nice thing to say Cathy...thank you so much. Most of my images of Ming were of her back end as she wandered the gardens....lol and I am so pleased to have gotten this one of her beautiful little face....and soul...

Wow! Gorgeous puss!
She looks a little like my Ziva girl, whom I found under a leaf pile when she was 10 days old.
The blue eyes are really amazing and she has that very penetrating and captivating look.
Great photo. I am sorry she has passed over the rainbow bridge, but thank you for giving her a free and wonderful life!

We had a cat and dog for quite a number of yea s back in the 90's, but they got on pretty well! Like the intense expression that your nice composition has captured. Sharpness and exposure are good. Nicely done!
