This would be outside my comfort zone also because the colors of this landscape are so very light and soft. It is so light that I am not even sure if this is a drawing or a watercolor. Nevertheless, shapes and forms emerge when looking closely for some time and reveal an intriguing landscape covered by a cloudy sky, which gives me the feel as if looking through a curtain of rain.

Your out of the box comfort zone definitely worked here. Absolutely gorgeous. Many are afraid of all shades of white but you definitely pulled it off. I thank you for sharing this lovely piece of art. You are very talented.

Great choice of colors, which you have blended together so well, giving a very peaceful, magic feel to such a beautiful place. The birds add a special touch and bring it all to live. Very nice and thanks for sharing.

When I saw this contest advertised, I did think it was a great challenge which I would have loved to tackle but alas, I am time poor. I am glad you have entered this though because it is along the lines of what I was planning. The intricacy and detail of a colourful painting seen through a white lens which makes it doubly difficult. I can appreciate the effort this took and wish you all the best in the contest. R

It could be that you are using a different pallet than you are used to, but I still think I recognize your style. and I also think this is a truly beautiful painting. You can almost feel the chill looking at this painting.
I really like the birds you have added on the right, because they both add interest and depth to the painting. I also think your brush work is excellent, and how well you have introduced the light into this scene.
The format and framing is perfect with the reeds on the left, and I think it is a very good balance in the composition. A truly beautiful and well done painting, and I wish you luck with the contest.
