I think this is a beautiful entry into this contest, and I especially like the simplicity with the clean lines. I also like a lot the limited color pallet and how well the snail is standing out from the silky looking background.
Your focus is spot on and sharp showing such clear and well defined details in every part of the snails, and especially the antennas, and the exposure is perfect.
The format you have cropped the photo into works well and the snail has got a perfect placement within the frame. Indeed a lovely and well taken photo with an excellent DOF, and I wish you luck with the contest.

This is a very nice shot of this snail. I like the simple uncluttered framing, nice angle and sharp focus. Nice textures and lines. I keep expecting him to move on up the leaf. Very good job.
