I'm not sure what you struggled with, but it paid off, because I think this is just lovely. You have a nice mix of subtlety and detail and heavier strokes for definition where it is needed. I only have one minor issue...it is the depth of field. The bird and flowers are right up front with the viewer and off in the distance I am not sure what we see. Because the only object in the background is very small indicating it is far away isn't enough to give the viewer a sense of depth. You've done such a great job engaging the viewer adding a little more depth and dimension will keep 'em coming back for more. Really beautiful and one of my favorite flowers!

Pastels have always been favorite colors of mine. The soft purples add an amazing contrast to the bird. Great detail. I'd love to have this hanging on my wall.

A lovely composition, the purple has been used in the sky too which is effective, it's a simple composition which you have brought to life, the bird is very sweet.

I love birds and flowers and I find this very appealing
I really like the use of soft pastel colours with just the darker bits on the bird, really nice shading and light

i can understand your troubles my friend. but you still have managed a lovely work. the roughness of the board actually gives it a rustic feel. you sure make a really, vital colour. and what the end result is, is soothing to the viewer.

Hi, This is a nice color pallet...I like the lilac and mint green tones. The bird is doing the splits! I would like more detail on flowers as you have detail on the bird. Some good depth and nice presentation!
