A beautiful scene with the sunset and golden colors throughout your image. I like the silhouette of the sailboat and the reflection on the water with nice movement created in your photography Good camera techniques....perfectly framed and well composed shot. A good choice of song and connection to your photography....good luck in the contest. This is very nice work and thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much Martha. I feel as you do about this scene. It IS beyond words. Not MY work. I simply push the button in a poor attempt to capture the scene that is presented for me to see. I am Honored by your Grand rating and Extra Sparkle.

hmmnnn...now who do I know who has visited the Gulf of Mexico???/ lol Knew it had to be yours right away and you've matched it up w/ such a good song too.

Stunning color as the setting sun is just about resting on the horizon there. You have a beautiful eye for scenes such as this. I really like the wide format you've used. Beautiful spot....a really lovely presentation....and my west wishes for you w/ it in this contest.

Deborah

Lol. Man I can run but just can't hide from you BB. I tried to disguise it by saying Gulf of Mexico instead of Puerto Vallarta. Well that sure didn't work. How about this: My name is Fred Farkle and I am new to FAR. This is my First posting. Did that do the trick? Hmmm...didn't think so. Oh well. Thank you so much BB for your wonderful review. ALWAYS Appreciated. Time for snow there?

Oh I remember Freedy Farkle BB...lol...wouldn't work. There has been snow on the ground for weeks here. Not much but enough that the path out to the wood shed is a nightmare! So very welcome for the review....beautiful scene here.

There is a subtle, beguiling aspect to this image.

We know that is a sailboat there, however, we cannot see it in it's entirety, and therein lies the beauty. Our eyes dance to the warmth of the sun and the ray cast, then to the mystery of the sail...back and forth goes this visual dance.

It is a warm photograph, it speaks of the end of a hot day...the sky is still full of heat. We are caught by the patterns on the water which lead our eyes to shapes that we cannot discern only can imagine...is it a rock, is it a rogue wave, is it a canoe full of passengers.

Mystery in tones of hot.

The format in almost letterbox allows for freedom of sail, allows for our eyes to dance across the canvas.

Tonal qualities are very nice with a bias towards black hues ....what goes better than black and orange?....it's a wonderful feast for our eyes.

Horizon is straight not quite a mid point giving more weight to the patterns of the ocean and we are a pattern seeking species.

Just nice, a comfortable piece to get lost in. That diagonal slash of ray of sunshine is the ribbon that ties this into a perfect package.

Once again you have articulated those things that I do not consciously see as I attempt to create an image that engenders and evokes the inner feelings of the creator and in those that are meant to 'see'. Many of the things you pointed out are those things that 'needed' to be enhanced or created. I do not quite understand why, they simply had to be brought into existence. Thank you for helping me to see more clearly.

Gorgeous photo of setting sun on the sea. The details in the water are very good. The sailboat is silhouetted nicely against the bright orange of the setting sun. This is a great contest for the song contest. Good luck.

I have to admit that I don't know the song:(, but the picture is stunning. One of the much sought after time of the day! The colours are glorious. The light and shadows and the overall composition have worked well. Good luck!

Beautiful shot of the sun going down on the horizon, while the boat sails are artfully silhouetted against he orange sky. Framing just off centre makes for a more interesting initial impact! The sun with its golden rays skimming along the surface of the sea...it does look like Paradise. Great exposure! you have captured the mood beautifully! Well done and good luck!
