What an attention grabbing scene you have created. The brilliant yellows and oranges of the grove are so well balanced with the greens of the hill and the wonderful gray and whites of the mountains in the distance. The splash of color of another grove in the green hills adds a nice element. Well done and Best of the best in the contest ~ Steve

Could not tell they were aspens, look kind of like a fire. But the yellow/orange could be the tops of aspen trees. The rest of the composition is simple and executed well. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image

    Thank you for your five star vote and your comments. The aspen groves are on the west side of the mountains overlooking Santa Fe. Sometimes when you are in the right spot at sunset, yes the mountain does look like it is on fire. I tried to catch that with this painting. Thanks for the recognition.
