I think this is excellent. We can see a travel catalogue with a picture of the amazing Duomo as it is. But your artistic rendition has given it a look of the past...one that the great Artists Masters may have depicted in a sketch....minus the cars and billboards on the windows, the overhanging canopy...and of course the circle with the 6. I love the colors you have chosen to keep in your edit. And as much as I would probably have chosen to change the brilliant aqua sky...I think that is what is giving this the bit of impressionistic feel. That color almost appears to be reflecting in some of the window signs. without it I think the scene would feel flat. What an amazing place to have visited. Thank you for your artistry in your post processing and for sharing. A complete pleasure to view.

Thanks for the wonderful review on this image. Florence is just an amazing city. We did not have time to see "David" at the museum (line too long) but there was a replica outside to see at one museum. Too bad though all I had was a point and shoot at the time. Many of these images do not pass the FAR test today! This was actually a rescue image that I worked on. Glad you liked it.. HDR works miracles! No?

Rescue images are good to have these days~

piazza duomo! very nicely executed with the look of an etching. interesting note: the streets depicted here have been redesigned to no longer allow automobiles in a wide block area around the duomo.

Thanks for the review. No cars would help the congestion a lot. We did not have enough time to do justice to all there is to see.

believe me, the cogestion has only increased! centro is mostly avoided, unless some art supply is needed from zecchi. but don't get me wrong, i love this city.
