I just love this photo Barbara, and most of all because just an excellent editing. It has given the photo a lovely painterly look, and I like the way the rose is blending into the lovely colors of the background. The go so well together with the delicate pink colors of the rose.
This photo is soft, but it is the softness I really like. Still the center of the rose is sharp and well defined, and the light is falling on it in the most lovely way. The exposure is just perfect.
The format you have cropped the photo into is perfect and I like the slight diagonal placement of the rose within the frame. Indeed a beautiful and well taken photo, and with an excellent DOF.

I like how the rose almost looks blurred but is not. You were able to soften the edges. That is what caused the effect. Thank you for sharing and best of luck with this image
